GROUNDWATER DEVELOPMENTS

Groundwater is critical to the achievement of the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for 2030, with linkages to global change, food security, ecosystem conservation, resilient cities, human health and energy generation. Effectively using groundwater resources is an important component of meeting the water demands of people, systems, and facilities. Groundwater exploration and development often involves understanding local and regional geology and associated aquifers, conducting studies and field investigations to evaluate production potential and water quality, and designing, permitting, and drilling water wells to access subsurface water supplies. Groundwater extraction or dewatering may be needed to facilitate unrelated construction projects and involves many of these same processes.

Increasingly, groundwater sustainability is a topic of focus to help mitigate undesirable environmental impacts related to developing and using groundwater resources. Regulatory agencies develop policies to regulate and guide groundwater development to the benefit of the public. In some cases, understanding the connection between groundwater and surface water is an important component of groundwater sustainability. Mitigation measures for protecting groundwater. Groundwater-related work can also focus on groundwater contaminant monitoring and remediation. Hall cribbing drilling groundwater experience includes managing and conducting geologic and hydrogeologic investigations, groundwater exploration assessments, and groundwater quality studies. Our team provides water well permitting, well siting, well design and drilling/construction specifications, well drilling and installation oversight, aquifer testing, and well rehabilitation. We have experience performing groundwater sustainability studies including groundwater/surface water interaction for small- to large-capacity wells and well systems. We have also performed aquifer vulnerability evaluations related to land development projects and Source Water Assessment and Wellhead Protection. These projects include designing engineering and administrative controls as potential mitigation measures to protect municipal groundwater supplies.

The Hall Cribbs Drilling team has a successful history of developing solutions for responsible parties accountable for treating and managing contaminated groundwater. Our successes at industrial, commercial, agricultural and military sites produce water suitable for reinjection, re-use or surface discharge. We are very familiar with the requirements imposed by state and federal remediation project regulations and operating protocol. We work with our customers who require groundwater remediation on an on-going basis to provide expert advice in process optimization and operator training to effectively meet regulatory requirements at a variety of remediation and Superfund sites. Our range of skills in water resources development, management and protection ranges from long term regional water resource management plans, heavily modified water body assessment and strategic environmental assessment and solution option appraisal, through to local studies delivering projects to meet regulatory obligations.
